Why there are traffic jams?
To many cars? Some drivers are to slow? Car accidents on the road? Roadblocks caused by (road)men at work? Simply saying: one stops, others too!
Mostly because a multi-road is becoming one road: chute!
We can reduce the amount of cars by travelling with public transportation's. But how about the time tables and difficult accessible places? Take the bus from the company for small distances. And car-pooling is another possibility.
The Belgians like to drive by car: it's a personal freedom, till certain limits, of course. But most of all, it's compensated by the company if we drive to our working-places and back to home. So you see many one-drivers in the morning. It can be reduced too. The compensation I mean and to replace it with working at home:
A special working-room (installed by the company) in your home for most of the office-employees, with the office door-clock and a strict follow-up as a working-guard. It's possible without desecrate the private atmosphere, you know.
We can learn to work with flexible working-hours too.
It is useless to built more roads, because it will only increase the costs of maintenance. Only the contracting parties are gaining, but not for the whole society.
If there are "turtles" on the road, say 'Hi, turtle, may I pass by?' or try to get a quicker connection instead by typing on the navigation-system. Always keep calm - music is relaxing - and everything will advance...
