Look how powerful Media can be. Although every media-content claims to be objective, they have certainly their own truth, (in)directly opposed by their superiors or those who finance them.
We all know that we can't trust the media for 100 %, not because of this reason - that's just one of many of them - nevertheless we love to be fooled by them too! It's the part of the game: in Ancient Rome they call it: "Bread and Games". When people are bored, they want sensation, and who else can bring that to the people like us? Yes, the media-mogols, who are richer then politicians nowadays. And who's richer and more powerful, even the politicians will obey them: these "Super" Mario-nettes..
Actually the trend of docu-soaps, reality-TV. fake shows and movies is growing to unknown limits: what's real and what's not?
Few examples: In Belgium there was a reality-report of the french RTBF, telling that Belgium was already separated... In the Netherlands there's a spectacular donor-show going on who's meant to be surreal. Their purpose: to search more people for a kidney-donation. The terminal patient who wants to donate this, is an actress! How many people are being fooled?!
The power of the perfect-orchestrated media...
And as always, I refer to the past "War of the worlds" from H.G. Wells or George Orwell's 1984l: the same effect.
In time it will be very dangerous for us, the influenced audience. A war can be the result of this mass-medium, when the intention is made by 'bad' people...
The Gulf-war in 1991 was caused by a miscommunication of Saddam Hussein and his troops by an 'higher order'. This miscommunication was intended to be (read: strategy)...
