Have you even realized how important barbers can be? They do not only cut your hair and restyle it to the desired model of the moment... In many cultures a barber is also your social communicator, or assistant if you want. To keep the client(s) busy, they have to be trained as perfect interlocutors while they are doing their job. And to keep the client(s) 'view' in perfect condition... So when the customer is gone, (s)he will be a 'new' person. And that can be very litterally.
To have such abilities for 'entertaining' women in the western world, homosexual barbers are the most qualified persons to do this job. The fact that women are frequently visit their favorite hairdresser is that they can chat about the things of life, maybe even more than with their husbands...
In China, barbers are not only hairdressers, but also beauty-specialists, who care about
