Metropolis is a globally produced website and TV show initiated by Dutch public service broadcaster VPRO and Dutch NGO Hivos. They have a radically different approach towards reporting from around the world: all of their stories are produced by local filmmakers. Therefore Metropolis employs a global correspondent network of more than 60 high level documentary filmmakers and video journalists from across six continents. These filmmakers are continuously exploring their local surroundings and capturing remarkable stories from everyday life.
