Tibet, Тибет, 西藏

Well, We are European Belgian Chinese of the '70s and all we can say is that Tibet is a long, long way from our 'cosy' bed in Eupen...
But you can always learn about the history of Tibet and from this history you can form more or less the future of this country.
Yes! It is a country, always been a country, and more than Taiwan we suppose, a very important strategical area for the Peoples' Republic of China.
Why?
In our opinion, the Chinese are considering Tibet as a buffer against the other biggest economical power estate India. 'Against' is an exaggerated word of course, because PRC is actually doing good businesses with India. But as a general rule in politics, it's better to not trust a colleague at all, certainly not with 'somebody' of the same size and power! For this moment, THAT's not the question of buffering, but it is a part of it.
The main reason is that Tibet is rich on Chinese population, departed from the 'colonisation' of Tibet in the '50s as a solution for the upcoming Cold War (Communists/Capitalists). The Chinese population there had found several important agricultural sources to feed their Mainland.
Now in the big area of Tibet, there are more and more Chinese people and it seems that this will not stop, because the new railway from Beijing to Lhasa is the recent logistical step of it.
The situation today is perfect to (re)demonstrate against the Chinese government, because of the Olympics, but it shouldn't be happening like this. As a Dalai Lama has his responsibilities of his country, he should have warned the ethnic population to not use violence against the big evil Chinese, because it has happened before with several deaths in history. In a war, a little 'stone' can cause an domino-effect. As humans, we can understand revenge, but it is not the solution at all, you know. And loss of face is the last, Chinese can permit in the approach of the Olympic Games. By the way: the Olympics must not interfere with neither politics or religion, because of the principles of it.
Better is to use diplomatic ways, by not spreading negative announcements or even lies of each other, maybe supported by a third authority, like the USA for example. And you must consider the Dalai Lama as a human and not a saint, because he has also commit(ed) unforgivable errors.
