What will lead us with a world with no books at all?
According to the movie "Fahrenheit 451" (from François Truffaut with the excellent Julie Christie) all humans would be equal and happy...
If that would be true...
Of course not! Reading books will open peoples' emotional thoughts in every sense you would be imagine. Books are indeed "open-minded". It stimulates you to think, dream, feel with all your senses, relatives... Books are living-beings!
And in this film, the future is really existing now: overwhelming with video, pictures, meaningless entertainment etc... with manipulation from here to nowhere. And what is left over from our emotions? Egoistic, indifferent, superficial human beings?
We hope more than ever that the next generation will read more than the obligated literature from school and over-commercializing hypes, not that they aren't good enough, but different genres are still affecting people to be more bright in life's wisdom!
(Un)fortunately we have the Internet now and you know that the Net is the electronic mirror of our society. "What you see is what you get" is the law of Information-Technology. And the word "getting" is more and more a recommendation. Remember that the Net will die once you put the electricity off...
So, people, please read and think with your soul and that's the beginning of humans wisdom!
