According to the Chinese Olympic Committee Beijing 2008, Windows Vista is not stable enough to run on the mainframes of their terminals. A part of this news is true: there were problems to work with soft- and hardware of the Leonovo-(IBM) group. But it was supposed to older computer/server versions. Actually, no problems should be happened with the new models.
You have to know that many Chinese computers and servers are still running on the XP-operating systems because of the huge XP-considered (illegal) software in mainland China. Vista is too complex to be hacked, or too secure, if you want... And of course, many, not so rich Chinese people still have Windows '98 in the running. Better for Chinese writing on computers perhaps?
Parallel with the upcoming of this news, China has announced 2 (two) new (Chinese) O.S. namely "YangFan" and "Qihang", which the first one is already installed in some Chinese Government Agencies. Coincidence?!
