It's the whole philosophy of Belgium. If we don't make compromises, we don't go any further. How stronger the ego-culture in this world, how more these same people will 'cooperate' AFTER somethings wrong is happened.
The Dutroux-case is a simple example of the generalised reaction from 300 000 people, manifesting in Brussels, almost 11 years ago. Or take for instance the disappearance of the little child Madeleine McCann. Yes, the whole world is a village of solidarity!
If that will move the real case any further... Later, all these people can exaggerate this to their grandchildren, saying "It was a happy moment."
Of course compromises doesn't change anything, that's why democracy is able to destroy itself: If you listen to the population, it will be popularized and the government will be unmanageable. In this case, Belgium will be separated. And not only Belgium. The whole European community can be destroyed by such differences of opinion.
It's time to NOT trapped in this repeating history again. We need several strong leaders to build on this Eurocracy.
