After a long meeting between the European Prime Ministers (or their liable) , Bond Chancellor Angela Merkel, European chairwoman at present, has finally reached an agreement, concerning decision-rights for the European Government. Poland, Netherlands and (as always) the U.K. were the toughest opponents to crack on. These admissions of Merkel in front of above-mentioned countries is attacking the existing fundamental laws of Europe. The others who are believing in a strong Europe, want to protect the constitutions, because it is clear.
The U.K. and Poland are in the first place "brothers-in-arms" of the U.S.A. and that explains a lot of course. For the Netherlands it is pure an economical principle: they have many joint-ventures with multinationals from the U.S.
The fact that Chancellor Merkel do compromises, is that she is directed from her cabinet: as a woman, she has to do that to stay in top-position in her own country.
And France? As always, President Sarkozy is brilliant in his speeches: he was there, he saw it and then he was giving the facts... Hopefully he will make also the right decisions, as for Europe and for France. It seems that Europe is the least of his concerning.
And eventually, if Europe is continuing that way of making complicated basic rules, only the Euro will survive in the "Old" Continent of distinctive states...
